Redmi is gearing up to launch its new flagship smartphone, the Redmi K90 Pro Max. The brand has consistently shared key features of the phone on its Weibo page, especially highlighting the camera capabilities. According to Redmi, the phone is confirmed to launch on Thursday, October 23, 2025, in China, alongside the K90 Pro and the Redmi Watch 6.

Redmi K90 Pro Max
The Redmi K90 Pro Max boasts its first 5x optical zoom periscope telephoto camera, featuring a 50MP lens. The main camera also features a 50MP Light Hunter 950, the same high-dynamic range sensor as the Xiaomi 17, with a 1/1.31″ ultra-large main sensor. The entire camera setup uses a 50MP sensor, including the ultrawide and front cameras.
The phone reportedly sports a 6.9″ 120Hz TCL Huaxing M10 Real RGB OLED Display with 2K resolution, similar to the display panel used in the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. The screen features 1nit ultra-dark light protection and circularly polarized light 2.0 with “Xiaomi Qingshan Eye Protection 3.0.”
Under the hood, the Redmi K90 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and paired with a D2 graphics chip. It also utilizes a 6700mm² Xiaomi’s largest 3D ice-cooling cycle cooling pump. Fueling the device is a massive 7560mAh battery with 100W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.
One of the exciting features of the Redmi K90 Pro Max is its 2.1 speaker setup, co-developed with Bose. Aside from the top and bottom speakers, the circle beside the back camera is a real speaker, but it doesn’t affect IP68 water and dust resistance; rather, it supports audio-vibration for the dust cleaning feature.
The pricing and availability have yet to be confirmed upon its official launch in China. The global variant is rumored to be shipped as part of the Poco F8 series. For more tech news updates, follow us on Google News or subscribe to our newsletter.
