Following recent leaks and speculation about its design and specifications, the Samsung Galaxy A16 5G is now officially available in the Philippines. Offered in Midnight Blue, Turquoise, and Gray, it’s listed on Samsung’s official Shopee store starting at PHP 13,990.

The phone boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED display (1080 x 2340 resolution) with a 90Hz refresh rate. Its classic Galaxy design includes an IP54 rating for water and dust resistance.
Under the hood, the Mediatek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor, paired with Arm Mali-G57 MC2, powers the device. It offers 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, expandable up to 1.5TB via microSD card.
For selfies, there’s a tear-drop 13MP f/2.0 OIS front camera. The rear camera system includes a 50MP f/1.8 OIS main lens, a 5MP ultrawide lens, and a 2MP macro lens. Video recording capabilities include 1080p at 30fps, 720p at 120fps, and 10x digital zoom.
Powering the device is a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging. It runs on Android 14 with One UI 6.1 and promises up to six years of OS updates.
Connectivity options include 4G, 5G, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz VHT80), Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C, and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner.
