Samsung Galaxy M16 5G Launched in India: Dimensity 6300 and 6 Years OS Upgrades

The Samsung Galaxy M16 5G has recently launched in India along with Galaxy M06, both at affordable prices. The phone goes on sale starting March 7, 2025, on Amazon, Samsung store, and retailers. The Galaxy M16 has a starting price of ₹11,499 for the base model, and there are three storage variant options.

One of the main highlights of the phone is that it will get up to 6 years of major OS upgrades and security patches. Aside from that, the phone also offers a budget-friendly price for an entry-level phone in the country with a 5G network.

The design is very similar to the Galaxy M06, with a diagonal pattern and vertical alignment camera island on the back panel. The body has boxy rounded corners, is 7.9mm thin, and comes with Blush Pink, Mint Green and Thunder Black colorways.

The display sports a 6.7″ Super AMOLED, 1080 x 2340 (FHD+) resolution, and boasts a 90Hz refresh rate. The screen also supports eye care shield, while the protected screen glass is unspecified.

Under the hood, it is powered by a 2.4GHz Mediatek Dimensity 6300 with Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. For storage, it offers 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It runs on Android 15 out of the box with OneUI skin on top.

For the camera, it sports a 50MP f/1.8 autofocus main camera that can shoot 1080p at 30fps video recording, 10X digital zoom, and 720p at 120fps for slow-mo. On the front, it has a teardrop camera system housing a 13MP f/2.0 autofocus selfie shooter.

For the battery, it is packed with a 5000mAh capacity and paired with 25W fast charging. Other features mentioned include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi, dual nano SIM, and NFC.
