The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra has been certified in Thailand’s NBTC with model number SM-S948B/DS, and also by Singapore’s IMDA. This means the phone is ready to be unveiled at the 2026 Galaxy Unpacked Event – though its launch timeline has changed. Previously expected to launch in January, but recent reports say the launch may be delayed and tipped for February.

According to the latest report by reliable leaker Ice Universe on Weibo, the Galaxy S26 Ultra’s Unpacked Event is now tipped for mid-February 2026 instead of January. He also added in a different post that the retail availability is expected to be from late February to early March 2026.

The reason for the delay is reportedly due to a lineup reshuffle, revised pricing strategy, and global Snapdragon adoption. The camera, display, and AI upgrades will still remain in key focus. We previously covered leaked specs for the phone, including its display, camera, and processor – but new reports about technical refinement needs mean these may differ from earlier leaks.

Speaking of key upgrades, Samsung has finally launched its new 60W Super Fast Charger. Since 45W has been the maximum charging speed on Samsung flagships until now, this strongly hints that the Galaxy S26 Ultra may upgrade to 60W charging.

With NBTC and IMDA certifications now in hand, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is clearly on track for its 2026 debut – even if the wait will be a little longer than expected. While the delay stems from strategic and technical adjustments, the focus on camera, display, and AI upgrades (plus the promising hint of 60W charging) are all set to be revealed in full at the mid-February Unpacked Event, where we’ll finally get all the final details.
