Samsung’s upcoming flagship smartphone has surfaced again ahead of its official debut. The Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, bearing the model number SM-S948U for the US variant, has been listed on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, providing an early look at its core specifications and performance.

According to the Geekbench database, the listing was uploaded on January 12, 2026, at 07:50 AM. The device recorded a single-core score of 3,466 and a multi-core score of 11,035, indicating a high-performance chipset.
The benchmark data shows the Galaxy S26 Ultra is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, featuring a six-core cluster clocked at 3.63GHz alongside two performance cores running at 4.19GHz, paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. It also confirms the presence of 12GB of RAM and reveals that the device is running Android 16.
This is not the first time the Galaxy S26 Ultra has appeared in official databases. In December 2025, the device was previously spotted in NBTC and IMDA certification listings, signaling that the smartphone is moving closer to release.
Additionally, model numbers for the Galaxy S26 lineup have begun to surface. Information shared by Anvin on X indicates that all three main models in the series have passed BIS certification.
The base Galaxy S26 carries the model number SM-S942, while the Galaxy S26 Plus is listed as SM-S947, as referenced in the IMEI database. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is confirmed as SM-S948. As of now, the model number for the rumored Galaxy S26 Edge has not been revealed.
Samsung has not yet made any official announcements regarding the Galaxy S26 series, including launch dates or full specifications. However, recent benchmark and certification sightings suggest that more details may emerge in the coming weeks.
