Samsung’s cooking up something pretty interesting with the Galaxy Z Fold8, expected to drop next summer. Leaks are hinting at some cool upgrades, especially in the camera department, and a possible redesign that could change the whole foldable game.

According to GSMArena, they’re keeping the 200MP main camera from the last model, which is already pretty awesome. We’re talking a 12MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom – a nice step up from the Fold7 – and a new 50MP ultrawide camera borrowed from the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Unfortunately, both selfie cameras will remain unchanged with 10MP resolution each, but that rear camera setup sounds like it’ll be a photographer’s dream, perfect for capturing everything.

But it’s not just about the cameras. Samsung might be tackling that pesky crease on the foldable screen with some new “laser-drilling metal plate technology” for the hinge. If they can pull that off, it would make using the Fold8 feel way smoother and more natural.

And get this – tipster Anthony on X says there’s talk of a ‘Passport’ design being considered. Imagine a Z Fold8 that’s even more compact when folded, fitting easily in your pocket. It’s just a rumor for now, but it shows Samsung’s thinking outside the box.

Finally, a leaks are suggesting a bigger battery, maybe even over 5,000mAh. That would be a lifesaver for those long days out and about, without having to worry about finding an outlet.

Well, if these rumors are true, the Galaxy Z Fold8 could be a game-changer. The improved cameras would be amazing for capturing our local culture and scenery, and the new hinge and bigger battery would make it a super practical device for everyday life. Of course, it’s all just speculation until Samsung officially announces it, but we’ll be keeping our ears to the ground for more news on the Fold8!

Important Note: Remember, these are just rumors and leaks, so take everything with a grain of salt until Samsung confirms it.
