The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 has officially launched, focusing on on-device Generative AI capabilities. This chipset sits technically below the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, targeting more affordable smartphones and offering an on-device generative AI experience.
According to reports, the chip has already secured orders from tech giants like Samsung, Xiaomi, Realme, and Sharp. While several smartphone companies are interested, Xiaomi is expected to be the first to adopt the new mid-range chip from Qualcomm. The first device equipped with this chip is expected to be announced next month.

Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 Features
The Kryo CPU features one Prime core clocked at up to 2.5 GHz, 3 Performance cores clocked at up to 2.4 GHz, and 4 Efficiency cores clocked at up to 1.8 GHz. It supports up to 16GB of RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.
According to Qualcomm, the chip achieves new performance levels with nearly 20% improved CPU performance, up to 40% accelerated GPU improvements over its predecessor. In terms of AI capabilities, it boasts over 30% better AI performance and 12% overall total power savings.
The main feature of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 is its on-board generative AI capabilities. This platform, powered by a dedicated NPU AI engine, adds to its appeal. It also supports AI-based noise cancellation, up to 200MP photo and 4K HDR video capture, enabled by Spectra Triple ISP for fast processing and smooth zooming.
It also features Snapdragon Elite Gaming, including the Adaptive Performance Engine (APE 3.0), Adaptive Frame Motion Engine 3.0, Variable Rate Shading, and Vulkan 1.3, to provide thermal feedback for maximized and immersive gaming performance.
Regarding connectivity, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 supports Dual-SIM Dual Active 5G+5G/4G, enhancing user flexibility across networks. It also supports Wi-Fi 6E up to 2.9 Gbps and reliable Bluetooth 5.4 technology.
