Qualcomm has officially launched the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, touted as the new benchmark in flagship performance. This new chipset is now detailed on Qualcomm’s official website, showcasing its impressive specifications and capabilities.
A Closer Look at Snapdragon 8s Gen 3’s Specifications
Crafted with a 4nm process, the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 boasts a Cortex-X4 prime core running at 3.0GHz, alongside four performance cores at 2.8GHz and three efficiency cores at 2.0GHz. It supports a massive 24GB of RAM and the latest UFS 4.0 storage standard.
Connectivity at Its Finest
The Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 is equipped with a 5G AI processor powered by a Snapdragon X70 5G Modem-RF system. It also features WI-FI 7 capabilities, achieving speeds up to 5.8 Gbps and includes Band Simultaneous Multi-Link technology for optimal signal strength across 5 and 6 GHz bands.
Camera Capabilities
The chipset’s camera prowess is highlighted by an 18-bit triple cognitive ISP, an always-sensing camera feature, photo expansion, semantic segmentation, Snapdragon low light vision, and 2x sHDR.
It can handle three 36MP cameras simultaneously at 30fps with zero shutter lag, and supports a single sensor up to 200MP. Additionally, it offers 10-bit HEIC and HEVC formats and 4K HDR video recording at 60fps.

A standout feature is the On-device Generative AI, supporting up to 10 billion parameters, complemented by a Gen AI assistant and image generation capabilities.
