Sony has unveiled the Xperia 1 VII in the United Kingdom and Europe, priced at £1399 and €1499. The launch event was held on their official Sony | Xperia YouTube channel. The Xperia 1 VII was designed in collaboration with the engineers of Alpha™, WALKMAN®, and BRAVIA™ to deliver authentic quality. It is now available for pre-order, starting today, May 13th, 2025, via Sony UK.

The phone sports a 6.5″ 19.5:9 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, (1080 x 2340) FHD+ HDR resolution, and is powered by BRAVIA™ for display quality. The display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the back panel features GG Victus 1.
The design includes a rigid frame and functional tactile rear glass, improving grip and fingerprint resistance. The dimensions measure 8.2 mm thick and weigh 197 grams. The iconic camera bump has a triple vertical alignment and comes in Moss Green, Orchid Purple, and Slate Black colorways.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform. It comes with 12GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and up to 2TB of microSDXC support. The phone runs on Android 15 with Xperia Intelligence and upt to 6 years of OS upgrades.
For cameras, it sports a 52MP Exmor T 1/1.35″ main camera with 2x sensor crop, F/1.9, ZEISS optics and T* coating, and a Pose estimation feature. A 50MP 1/1.56″ ultra-wide camera, a 12MP telephoto macro camera sensor (1/3.5″, 85-170 mm focal length, F/2.3 (85mm) – F/3.5 (170 mm)), and a 12MP F/2.0 1/2.9″ Exmor RS front camera are also included.
Furthermore, it is built with industry-leading Alpha™ technology, Creative Look, and S-Cinetone for mobile, ensuring color and tonality more typical of a professional camera than a smartphone.
For the battery, it packed a 5,000mah capacity with 30W fast charging. It features Xperia Adaptive Charging, Battery Care, STAMINA Mode, Qi Wireless charging, and Battery Share function.
Connectivity features include Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, dual SIM support (e-SIM), and SuperSpeed USB 5 Gbps (USB 3.2). A 3.5 mm audio jack, 360 Reality Audio, full-stage dual stereo speakers, DSEE Ultimate, and Dolby Atmos are also included.

The Sony Xperia 1 VII is now available for pre-order in the UK and Europe, priced at £1399, €1499, or approximately (USD 1,665 / Rs. 1,41,245, 1399 GBP (USD 1843 / Rs. 1,56,325). Availability in other countries will begin rolling out on June 4th, 2025.
