Vivo is set to expand its tablet range with the imminent launch of the Vivo Pad 3. Recent sightings of the tablet on Geekbench reveal some impressive specifications. Here’s a peek into the processor and RAM that the new tablet will be packing for its Chinese audience.

    Vivo Pad 3

    KEY POINTS:

    • MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipset and a whopping 16GB of RAM are expected to power the Vivo Pad 3.
    • The forthcoming tablet is likely to come with an LCD panel, offering a significant boost in performance.
    • Speculations abound about a Vivo Pad 3 Pro launching alongside the tablet, based on previous leaks.

    Vivo Pad 3 Geekbench Listing

The Geekbench listing identified the Vivo Pad 3 as model number PA2473. It disclosed that the tablet will be powered by a processor with clock speeds reaching up to 3.25GHz. The device earned a single-core test score of 2,223 points and a multi-core score of 7,547 points. This processor is anticipated to be the MediaTek Dimensity 9300, a flagship chipset launched by MediaTek last year to compete with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The listing also confirmed that the tablet will boast a 16GB RAM module, a step up from its predecessor, the Vivo Pad 2, which maxed out at 12GB RAM and was powered by a Dimensity 9000 processor. With the Vivo Pad 3, the brand appears to be concentrating on significantly enhancing the tablet’s performance. It’s also expected to feature an LCD panel.

    Conflicting Speculations on the Processor

Earlier leaks suggested that the Vivo Pad 3 would be equipped with an upcoming Snapdragon processor, codenamed SM8635 or Snapdragon 8s Gen 3. There were also rumors about a Pro model with 80W charging launching alongside the tablet. However, the Geekbench listing has thrown a curveball regarding the processor choice.

It wouldn’t be surprising if Vivo is considering launching an iQOO tablet powered by the upcoming Snapdragon processor instead of a Vivo Pad 3 Pro, which would account for the conflicting specifications. It’s worth noting that Vivo has so far limited its tablet range to the Chinese market, and it’s unlikely that these devices will make their way to global launch soon.
