Vivo is gearing up to introduce their new Vivo S19 series, the S19 and S19 Pro smartphone lineup. The unveiling includes comprehensive specs disclosed by Digital Chat Station on weibo, along with image of the S19 Pro’s design.
Vivo S18 Series Features
The Vivo S19 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset, a robust 6000mAh battery supporting 80W fast charging, and dual 50-megapixel cameras on both the front and back, featuring an ultra-wide lens and a soft light ring for enhanced photography. The S19 Pro steps it up with a MediaTek Dimensity 9200+ processor, a vivid 6.78-inch OLED display, a 5500mAh battery also with 80W fast charging, and a similar camera setup that includes ultra-wide-angle, OIS-enabled upright telephoto, and capabilities for up to 50X digital zoom, complemented by a zoom soft light ring.
While the series spotlights its advanced camera system, it has faced some scrutiny over its core components. The processors used in both the standard Vivo S19 and the Pro model, the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 and Dimensity 9200+ respectively, have drawn criticism for not measuring up to their predecessors (see the specs of vivo s18 series here). Additionally, leaked sales training presentations for the S19 series seem to focus on the devices’ aesthetics, long battery life, and portrait photography capabilities.
