The Vivo V50 5G arrived in the Philippines yesterday with a starting price of PHP 27,999 for the 12GB/256GB variant. Vivo recently launched it in India on February 17th, 2025, and afterward, it launched in other countries, especially here in the Philippines. The live event was held yesterday on Vivo’s official Facebook page and TikTok Shop at 7 PM, attended by many fans, tech vloggers, and reviewers. The phone comes in Ancora Red, Mist Purple, and Satin Black colorways and has two storage variants: 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB.

To summarize, the phone has a 6.77″ 3D curved AMOLED display with FHD+ (2392 x 1080) resolution and boasts a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by “Diamond Shield Glass,” while the back panel features “3D Star Technology,” allowing the phone to change color based on the environment.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 clocked at 2.63GHz and paired with an Adreno 720 GPU. The memory includes 12GB LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 2.2 storage and runs on Android 15 with FunTouch OS 15.
For imaging, it sports a triple-camera setup with a 50MP main camera and a selfie camera, both with ZEISS optics. Below the main camera is a larger circular “Aura Light” LED flash than its predecessor.
For the battery, it packs a massive 6,000mAh capacity, which Vivo claims is the first slimmest smartphone with such a large battery in the country. Additionally, the battery supports up to 90W fast charging via a USB Type-C port.
