Vivo has launched the world’s lightest and largest format foldable phone in China, the Vivo X Fold 5. This foldable phone is now available in Vivo’s shop with a starting price of CNY 6,999, or about ₱55,299 in Philippine pesos. Four storage options are available, starting at 256GB and going up to 1TB.
Key Features and Specifications
The phone sports a 6.53-inch LTPO 8T AMOLED external display with 2748 x 1172p resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 21.1:9 aspect ratio. The internal screen measures 8.03 inches, is a foldable AMOLED display with 2480 x 2200p resolution, a 4:3.55 aspect ratio, and also boasts a 120Hz refresh rate.
The design is crafted with an aluminum alloy frame and measures 159.68 x 142.29 x 4.3mm when unfolded. When folded, it measures 159.68 x 72.60 x 9.2mm. It also features an IP59+ rating for water and dust resistance.
Under the hood, it is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 with an Adreno 740 GPU. The memory includes 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and 256GB to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. The phone runs on OriginOS 5 based on Android 15 and boasts AI features.
The Vivo X Fold 5 has a 50MP Sony IMX921 main camera with OIS, a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultrawide camera, and a 50MP Sony IMX882 3x periscope telephoto camera with OIS. All three cameras boast Zeiss T* coating. Both the internal and external displays use a 20MP selfie camera.
For the battery, it packs a 6,000mAh BlueVolt 4th generation silicon-carbon battery paired with 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. Other features include a side fingerprint scanner, dual speakers, an x-axis linear motor, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C (USB 3.2), and support for an IR blaster.
