Vivo is gearing up to launch a new mid-range smartphone in India, the Vivo Y200 5G. The company has confirmed that the device will be unveiled on October 23 at 12 PM IST through a virtual event. Vivo has also shared an official image of the Vivo Y200 5G, revealing its design and color options.
The Vivo Y200 5G will sport a dual rear camera setup with a Smart Aura Light effect, similar to the iQOO Z7 Pro and Vivo V29 Pro. The primary camera will have optical image stabilization (OIS), which is a rare feature in this segment. The camera specifications are not known yet, but some reports suggest that it will have a 64MP main sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The front camera will be housed in a waterdrop notch and is expected to be a 16MP shooter.
The Vivo Y200 5G will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and a 90Hz refresh rate. The display will have a 20:9 aspect ratio and thin bezels on all sides. The smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset, which is the first processor in the Snapdragon 4 series. The chipset will be paired with 8GB of RAM and an unknown amount of internal storage.
The Vivo Y200 5G will run on Android 13-based Funtouch OS 13 out of the box. The battery capacity and charging speed are also not revealed yet, but we can expect it to have a decent battery backup and fast charging support. The smartphone will have a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a USB Type-C port. The color options for the Vivo Y200 5G are blue, green, and white, as seen in the official image.
The pricing and availability details of the Vivo Y200 5G are not announced yet, but some leaks suggest that it will cost around Rs. 18,316 (~$220) in India.
