Vivo has officially launched the Vivo Y29 5G in India, offering military-grade durability at an affordable price. The phone is available on the vivo shop for Rs. 13,999, approximately PHP 9,600 in Philippine pesos.

The notable features of the Vivo Y29 5G include military-grade, water, dust, and shock resistance with an IP64 rating. The company claims it’s the first smartphone in its price segment to offer both military-grade durability and SGS 5-Star Drop certification.
The screen is a 6.68-inch display with a 1608 x 720 resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 1000 nits peak brightness. The phone measures 165.75 x 76.1 x 8.1mm, weighs 198 grams, and comes in Glacier Blue, Titanium Gold, and Diamond Black colorways.
The rear panel features a vertical camera island housing a 50MP f/1.8 main camera and a 0.08MP secondary sensor. Below this is a circular LED ring light for notifications and improved photo capture. An 8MP f/2.0 selfie shooter is on the front.
It’s powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 octa-core processor with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU. Memory options include 4GB/6GB/8GB of RAM and 128GB/256GB of internal storage.
The 5,500mAh battery supports 44W fast charging. The phone runs Android 14 with FuntouchOS 14.
Connectivity includes Bluetooth 5.4, Wi-Fi (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz), GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS, and OTG. Additional features include shock-absorbing corners, a wave-crest phone case, and dual stereo speakers.
