Vivo is preparing to launch a new smartphone in China, the Vivo Y36m. This phone is the successor of the Vivo Y35m, which was released in January this year. Another Vivo phone, the Y79+, also appeared on a certification website today, indicating that Vivo may launch these phones soon.

Key specifications

The Vivo Y36m has a 6.56-inch display with a waterdrop notch and a resolution of 1,612 x 720 pixels. The phone has a dual-camera setup on the back, but the camera specifications are not known yet. The phone does not have a separate camera module on the back, unlike some other Vivo phones.

The phone is powered by a MediaTek chipset, which could be Dimensity 6020. The phone has two variants: 6GB + 128GB and 8GB + 256GB. The phone has a large 5,000mAh battery and supports USB-C and 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone also has a fingerprint scanner on the power button.

Price and availability

The Vivo Y36m will be available in two colors: Black Inkstone and Green Glaze. The phone will cost CNY 1,499 for the 6GB + 128GB model and CNY 1,799 for the 8GB + 256GB model, according to the China Telecom website. The launch date of the phone is not confirmed yet.
