Vivo has confirmed the launch of the Vivo Y500 on September 1, 2025, at 7:00 PM in China. According to their latest post on Weibo, the brand claims it will have the longest battery life, the strongest full-level waterproof capabilities, and the strongest gold label five-star drop resistance in Vivo history.
The forthcoming phone will be released and available on its official launch date at Vivo shops and other reputable retailers in China. Pricing details are yet to be announced; however, the specifications have been disclosed, with the device offered in four storage variants.
Vivo Y500 Features and Specifications
The phone features a 6.77-inch micro-quad-curved FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen features high-frequency 3840 PWM dimming and lights up to 5000 nits of peak brightness.
Under the hood, it is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 and runs on Android 15 with OriginOS 5 skin on top. The memory and storage configurations include 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB to 512GB of UFS 3.1 internal storage.
The back panel has a circular camera module housing a 50MP Samsung S5KJNS main camera + 2MP (GC02M1) depth sensor, with a small circular ring light LED flash below. On the front, it features a punch-hole 8MP (OmniVision OV08D10) selfie shooter, enhanced by AI features.
One of the main highlights of the Vivo Y500 is its massive 8,200mAh battery with 90W fast charging and bypass charging support. It also has an IP66/IP69/IP69+ rating and has received SGS Gold Label 5-star drop & impact certification, having passed Military-grade environmental testing.
The phone is 8.23mm thick, weighs around 213g, and comes in Glacier Blue, Dragon Crystal Purple, and Basalt Black color options. Other features include WIFI 6, NFC, USB-C, OTG, and Bluetooth 5.4.
