The Xiaomi 14 was officially launched at MWC 2024 in Barcelona, Spain, and is now available on Shopee and Lazada. This phone is packed with top-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a Leica camera, Gorilla Victus, and a sleek design and compact size like the iPhone 15.
The iPhone 15, on the other hand, was announced last year and is available worldwide. Although it does not have the latest chipset, which is the Apple A17 Bionic, we can say that it is still powerful and can keep up with the latest chipsets today.
Let’s see the comparison of the two flagship smartphones of Xiaomi and Apple. Their specifications, build, and quality are compared below.
Xiaomi runs on Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 vs. Apple runs on A16 Bionic
The Xiaomi 14 is equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, while the iPhone 15 has the previous chipset of Apple (A16 Bionic). In terms of CPU architecture, they both have strong performance. SD 8 Gen 3 is powered by Cortex X4, Cortex A720, and Cortex A520. The A16 Bionic, on the other hand, relies on a hexacore setup with high-performing Everest and Sawtooth cores.
The Antutu benchmark of Xiaomi 14 reached over 2 million score, while the iPhone 15 only reached 1.3 million Antutu score. But let’s not think that this is a big deal because they have different operating systems, CPU architectures, and optimizations. In real life, you can hardly see the difference in their performance, because their chipset performance is overkill for a flagship phones today.
Xiaomi 14 and iPhone 15 Camera
The Xiaomi 14 is equipped with three 50MP Leica cameras. Its main camera is supported by OIS, which is a common feature of flagship phones today. It has a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP telephoto lens. The iPhone 15, on the other hand, has a 48MP main camera with OIS and a 12MP ultrawide lens, but no telephoto lens. Both phones have impressive selfie cameras: the Xiaomi 14 has 32MP, while the iPhone 15 has 12MP.

Comparing this to the Xiaomi 14, which is a 6.36-inch handset, the iPhone 15 might be a more compact choice depending on your preference. The Xiaomi 14 design isn’t a big departure from its predecessor, with the most noticeable change being the larger camera bump.

On the other hand, the iPhone 15, despite having a smaller battery, has shown significant improvements in battery life compared to its predecessor, the iPhone 14. On the Tom’s Guide battery test, the iPhone 15 lasted 11 hours and 5 minutes, which is about an hour and a half longer than the iPhone 14. Apple rates the iPhone 15 for up to 20 hours of usage.

The Xiaomi 14 with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage is priced at PHP45,699. This phone offers a larger RAM capacity and twice the storage of the iPhone 15 variant we’re comparing it to. The Xiaomi 14 also supports 90W wired and 50W wireless charging, which provides flexible and fast charging options.
On the other hand, the iPhone 15 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is priced slightly higher at PHP47,290. While it has less RAM and storage compared to the Xiaomi 14, the iPhone 15 has shown significant improvements in battery life. Apple rates the iPhone 15 for up to 20 hours of usage.

Both phones have impressive performance, but the Xiaomi 14 has a higher Antutu score than the iPhone 15.
