Xiaomi has officially announced the launch date for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in China, set for December 25 at 7:00 PM. A promotional poster indicating the official design and color options has been released on their website. The brand continues its collaboration with Leica, promising upgraded imaging capabilities compared to its predecessor.
Leaked images of the phone, shared by tipster Anvin on X, reveal a 200MP telephoto module. The new periscope telephoto camera is noticeably larger than that of the previous 15 Ultra. It will also feature a new 50MP 1-inch main camera sensor and third-generation LOFIC technology.

The new main camera offers a dynamic range more than ten times better than the previous generation. The telephoto lens is said to have one of the most complex structures in the industry, is 35% larger than before, and comes with Leica APO certification for improved optical quality.
Notably, based on the images, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra now features circular volume up and down buttons. Rumored to have dimensions of 8mm thickness, 77.6mm width, and weigh around 227g.

Additionally, it is tipped that the phone sports a 6.9″ display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC. It is also rumored to come with a large 6800mAh battery paired with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging.
While the launch date is confirmed for December 25, pricing has not yet been announced. The phone will debut in China first, and global availability has not yet been confirmed.
