Xiaomi has recently launched its new mini PC, the Xiaomi Mini PC 2023. This is a desktop computer that is small in size, but big in performance, thanks to its use of Intel’s latest 13th generation Core processor and Thunderbolt 4 ports.
The Xiaomi Mini PC 2023 is a successor to the Xiaomi Mini PC 2022, which was released in December last year. The new model features an upgraded processor, the Intel Core i5-1340P, which has 12 cores, 16 threads, a maximum turbo frequency of 4.6 GHz, and supports a 43 W power output. According to Xiaomi, this processor offers a 10% improvement in single-core performance and an 11% boost in multi-core performance compared to the previous generation.
The Xiaomi Mini PC 2023 also comes with 16 GB of dual-channel DDR4 memory and a 512 GB PCIe 4.0 SSD, which can be expanded up to 32 GB and 4 TB respectively. The device has a sleek and minimalist design, with a single-piece CNC aluminum alloy body that measures only 112 x 112 x 38 mm and weighs only 445g.
One of the highlights of the Xiaomi Mini PC 2023 is its support for Thunderbolt 4 ports, which are the latest standard for high-speed data transfer and display connectivity. The device has two Thunderbolt 4 ports on the back, which can deliver up to 40 Gbps of bidirectional bandwidth, support up to two 4K displays or one 8K display, charge connected devices up to 100 W, and daisy-chain up to six devices. The device also has two HDMI ports, three USB 3.2 ports, one USB 2.0 port, one Ethernet port, and one headphone jack.
The Xiaomi Mini PC 2023 is available globally through various online retailers, such as Minixpc, NotebookCheck, and [Amazon]. The device is priced at $478 for the base configuration, which is slightly higher than the previous model, which was $505 for the same configuration. However, considering the improved performance and features of the new model, it may be worth the extra cost for those who are looking for a compact and powerful desktop computer.
