Xiaomi has finally launched the Xiaomi 15 series in China, along with HyperOS 2.0 and the Xiaomi Pad 7 Pro. The phone has been crafted as a compact phone, similar to its predecessor, with a premium design, improved performance, and more color options.
Xiaomi 15 Specifications
The Xiaomi 15 sports a 6.36-inch display, the same as its predecessor, the Xiaomi 14. It has a 2670×1200 1.5K OLED LTPO display at 460ppi, supporting up to a 120Hz refresh rate and 1000~3200nit peak brightness. Aside from that, the display is protected by Xiaomi Dragon Crystal Shield Glass for scratch and damage resistance.
The phone has dimensions of about 152.3 x 71.2 x 8.03mm/8.48mm/8.36mm and weighs 189g/191g/192g depending on the color variant. The device is crafted in an Aviation Aluminum Middle Frame and features Xiaomi Dragon Armor Structure for durability.
Internally, the Xiaomi 15 is powered by the new flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite (Extreme Edition), up to 4.32GHz from Qualcomm, and paired with an Adreno 830 GPU. For memory, the device offers 12GB and 16GB of RAM (LPDDR5X) and 2456GB, 512GB, and 1TB (UFS 4.0).
For cameras, it sports a 50MP (LH900 1/1.3″) OIS Main sensor, a 50MP (JN1 1/2.76″) Ultra-wide, a 50MP (JN5 1/2.75″) Telephoto Cam, while on the front has a punch-hole 32MP with OIS. In addition, the camera features Xiaomi AISP 2.0 to enhance AI and image processing speed.
For the battery, the Xiaomi 15 is fueled by a 5400mAh High Density Battery (850Wh/L & 6% Silicon) and features Surge G1 Battery Management Chip and Surge P3 chip for safe fast charging. For charging speed, it supports up to 90W wired and 50W for wireless charging.
For connectivity, it now supports USB 3.2 Gen 1 Port, BT 5.4, WiFi 7, NFC, and and features IR Surge T1s Signal Enhancement Chip. Other features include HyperOS 2.0 (Android 15), IP68 rating, and a New Generation Airfoil Ring Cooling System.
Price and Availability
The Xiaomi 15 offers Lilac Purple, Light Grass Green, Black, and White for the standard colors. It also offers a Bright Silver Edition. However, there are 20 custom colors for the 16GB/512GB variants for consumers.

The phone became available on October 31st, 2024, and is now available for pre-order on Xiaomi’s official website and physical stores in China. However, availability in other regions, including the Philippines, has not yet been announced.
