REDMAGIC has officially launched its latest gaming tablet, the REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro, boasting impressive specifications and a focus on delivering a superior gaming experience. The brand claims it is the industry’s first compact OLED gaming tablet, the device combines high-end hardware with gaming-focused optimizations. The launch occurred on June 12th, 2025, in China, with global availability expected on July 1st under the name “REDMAGIC Astra Gaming Tablet“.

Key Features and Specifications

The REDMAGIC Gaming Tablet 3 Pro features a striking 9.06-inch OLED display with incredibly slim 4.9mm bezels, resulting in a 90.1% screen-to-body ratio. This vibrant screen boasts a 2400 x 1504 resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, 5280Hz PWM dimming, and a peak brightness of 1600 nits. It also has TÜV Rheinland certifications for low blue light and flicker-free performance for extended comfortable use.

Powering this compact gaming tablet is Qualcomm’s cutting-edge 4.32GHz 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite 8-core chip, paired with an Adreno 830 GPU. Further enhancing gaming capabilities is the inclusion of a Red Core R3 Pro co-processor. Consumers can choose from configurations offering up to 24GB of LPDDR5T RAM (9600Mbps) and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 Pro storage.

It also features ICE 3.0, employs a sandwich VC structure, with liquid metal 2.0, and an active turbo fan to keep the tablet cool while gaming.

The tablet runs on REDMAGIC OS 10.5 and includes features like the Cube Game Engine for performance optimization, a PC emulator for local PC gaming, the Super Workbench productivity suite, and the AI-powered Magic Companion 2.0 assistant.

While gaming is the primary focus, the REDMAGIC Tablet 3 Pro doesn’t skimp on other features. It includes a 13MP rear camera and a 9MP front-facing camera, suitable for casual photography and video calls.

Powering the device is an 8,200mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging via USB-C, capable of reaching 50% charge in just 22 minutes. Bypass charging is also supported to minimize heat generation during extended gameplay.

Other features include dual super-linear speakers and dual X-axis linear motors, providing immersive audio and precise haptic feedback. Connectivity options include NFC, a fingerprint sensor, and wired/wireless low-latency casting.

The REDMAGIC Tablet 3 Pro is currently available in China in three configurations, offered in Eclipse Black and Starfrost Silver. This tablet is available on Nubia Shop.
