The Xiaomi Philippines Facebook page has started teasing the Xiaomi 17 Ultra, including the Xiaomi Tag and the base model Xiaomi 17 5G. According to the brand, the launch will take place in Barcelona on February 28, 2026, at 21:00 (GMT+8) 9:00 PM.

The live event is expected to be aired on their Facebook page and other official platforms and website. They also shared stunning images of the Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) in Dresden, Germany, the Eiffel Tower, and the Berlin Victory Column, which were shot by the Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

To recall, this phone was first launched in China on December 25, 2025, last year, with a starting price of CNY 6,999 (approximately PHP 58,000). Though the global price has not yet been revealed, it is expected to be more expensive than the Chinese variant.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra comes with a Leica 200MP 75-100mm telephoto lens with a 1-inch ultra-dynamic sensor and Leica UltraPure optical design. For the main camera, it features a 50MP Light Hunter 1055L (1-inch) LOFIC (23mm) f/1.67 (OV50X50), OIS/EIS, and a 50MP JN5 for ultrawide. The camera capabilities allow it to record 4K @120 fps up to 8K video recording @30 fps.

As the February 28 global unveiling draws closer, local fans won’t have to wait long to see what the Xiaomi 17 Ultra brings to the Philippine market. While official pricing and availability details are still under wraps, the teasers shared by Xiaomi Philippines suggest that the flagship will arrive soon after the international launch. More concrete information, including local prices and preorder offers, is expected to be announced during or shortly after the live event.
