Huawei has officially debuted the Mate80 Pro Max Wind Edition in China, with a starting price of CNY 8,499 (around PHP 73,399). The phone comes in two storage variants and is available in Polar Day Gold and Polar Night Black colorways.

The phone features an all-metal body with 2nd Gen Kunlun Glass and is rated IP68 and IP69 for durability and reliability. It sports a 6.9-inch LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 8,000 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, it is powered by the Kirin 9030 Pro chip, which, according to the brand, supports up to 90fps with ray tracing technology. It also features HyperSpace Memory + Ark Engine, and a Turbo-Fan engine with a VC cooling system for improved thermal management.

For photography, the device includes a 50MP RYYB (1/1.28″) main camera with OIS and 17.5EV ultra-high dynamic range, paired with a 10-stop variable aperture (f/1.4–f/4.0, 24mm, SC590XS). It is accompanied by a 40MP RYYB ultra-wide (13mm) and a 50MP RYYB periscope telephoto lens (4x, 90.5mm) with up to 100x digital zoom. It also supports the 2nd Gen Red Maple multispectral sensor. On the front, it houses a 13MP camera with a 3D ToF sensor and features the XMAGE imaging system.

Powering the device is a massive 6,000mAh battery, paired with 100W wired fast charging, 80W wireless charging, and 18W reverse charging support.

Connectivity features include an IR blaster, USB 3.1 Gen 1, two-way BeiDou satellite messaging, and Tiantong satellite communications. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, HarmonyOS 6, dual nano-SIM support, 3D face recognition, and NFC.
