Apple’s first foldable iPhone is reportedly in development and is expected to launch by the end of 2026. However, the company has not officially announced the device or confirmed its name. While it is widely referred to as the iPhone Fold, recent rumors suggest that the device could be marketed as the iPhone Ultra.

Meanwhile, a Chinese phone case manufacturer has reportedly started mass-producing cases for the iPhone Ultra, also known in rumors as the iPhone Fold. The report comes from reliable tipster Shihir, who shared a video on X showing the alleged production of cases for the upcoming device.

The device’s rumored specifications have also surfaced through multiple tipsters on Weibo, particularly Digital Chat Station, one of China’s most reputable smartphone leakers. According to the leaks, the foldable iPhone is expected to be powered by Apple’s A20 Pro chip and feature a 5.49-inch to 5.5-inch outer display, along with a 7.7-inch inner display.

On the other hand, Apple’s upcoming foldable smartphone is expected to compete directly with Samsung’s next-generation Galaxy Z Fold 8 series. Both devices are rumored to feature similar screen sizes. The Samsung model is said to offer a 7.6-inch inner AMOLED display and a 5.4-inch outer AMOLED display. The design of Apple’s foldable iPhone is also reportedly similar to the Huawei Pura X Max, which has already been launched in China.
