Oppo has officially announced the Reno 16 5G for the Indian market. This new model brings premium triple camera performance, a bright high refresh display, and long lasting battery life to the mid range segment. It will go on sale starting July 9 alongside the Reno 16c 5G.

On paper, the global Reno 16 5G you see here shares the same slim and compact design, Crystal Guard AMOLED display, and 80W fast charging as the model released in China [see the full specs], but Oppo has made targeted adjustments to suit regional markets.

It uses the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 processor instead of the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super found on the Chinese unit, pairing it with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for wider network compatibility and consistent performance across global regions.

The main camera is also set to 50MP with 2-axis OIS, while the Chinese variant comes with a higher resolution 200MP main sensor; both versions keep the same 50MP ultra-wide and 50MP telephoto lenses with 3.5x optical zoom and dual OIS.

In addition, this global release comes with software and connectivity optimized for international markets. It retains all premium features such as IP68 and IP69K water and dust resistance, AI Snap Key, and Oppo Bubble support, matching the complete feature set offered on the Chinese version.
