A rumored new Xiaomi foldable phone with model number 2608BPX34C has cleared 3C certification in China, a sign the handset is inching closer to release. The phone hasn’t received an official name yet, but early reports tie it to either the Xiaomi 17 Fold or Xiaomi Mix Fold 5 branding.

The certification listing confirms the device will come with a 67W fast charger, though it doesn’t note the phone’s exact battery capacity in mAh.

According to early reports from GizChina, the upcoming foldable device is expected to feature Xiaomi’s proprietary Xring O3 chipset, a detail further corroborated by findings within Mi Code. The same source points to a launch target of August 8, 2026, though Xiaomi has not issued any official confirmation.

This is not the first time Xiaomi has deployed its custom silicon for a limited release. The Xring 01 chip debuted exclusively in China with the Xiaomi 15s Pro, and the new foldable is expected to follow the same China-only launch strategy.

There’s still no official word on display specs, camera setups, or other hardware details. We’ll keep tracking new leaks and announcements, and share updates as more information surfaces.
