iQOO 16 Launched in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, Triple 50MP Cameras, and 8,400mAh Battery

iQOO has officially launched the iQOO 16 in China with Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, triple 50MP cameras, and a massive 8,400mAh battery. It has a starting launch price of CNY 5,999 or around PHP 56,000 and comes with four storage variants up to 1TB.

iQOO 16 Features Flagship Chipset and Triple 50MP Cameras

The phone sports a 6.85-inch display featuring a 2K resolution Samsung M26 OLED, a 165Hz high refresh rate, and up to 10,000 nits peak brightness.

Under the hood, it is powered by the newly launched flagship chip Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 processor with Adreno 850 GPU. It is also paired with the in-house Q4 gaming chip and runs on OriginOS 7 based on the latest Android 17.

For imaging, it houses triple 50MP cameras featuring OmniVision OV50Q for the main sensor. For ultra-wide it has GalaxyCore GC50F0 sensor and Sony LYT-600 sensor for the periscope telephoto. On the front it uses a punch-hole 32MP Samsung GalaxyCore GC32E1 sensor.

On the other hand, the camera design comes with square bumps with triangular camera setup as confirmed in early leaks. For video capabilities, it supports 8K video recording and up to 100X digital zoom for the periscope lens.

For the battery, it comes with a massive 8,400mAh capacity and is paired with 100W wired charging, 40W wireless charging, and supports reverse charging.

Other features include Ultrasonic fingerprint recognition, dual 1511 Master Pro stereo speakers, and X+Z dual-axis linear motor for haptics. Additionally, the phone features IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance for durability.
