Redmi Note 12 receives HyperOS update in beta testing

Xiaomi’s latest operating system, HyperOS, is designed to connect various devices in its smart ecosystem, from smartphones and tablets to electric cars and smart TVs. The new OS was unveiled along with the Xiaomi 14 series on October 26, 2023.

HyperOS is based on Android 14 and offers a unified user interface, improved performance, enhanced security, and new features such as UltraSpace storage expansion and AI voice assistant.

According to Xiaomiui, a website that tracks Xiaomi firmware updates, the Redmi Note 12 series is among the first devices to receive HyperOS builds for beta testing. The update is available for both the regular and NFC variants of the phone, and for different regions such as Global, India, and EEA.

The HyperOS global rollout is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2024, and will cover more models of Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO smartphones and tablets. Users who want to try the new OS can apply for the beta testing program on Xiaomi’s official website.
