Ferrari has officially introduced the Luce, the brand’s first fully electric car and its first EV made with five seats. With this new model, the Italian automaker moves past its classic gas-powered supercars and enters the high-performance electric market.
To recall, the company unveiled the first interior images of its all-electric supercar in February. The company worked with former Apple designers Jony Ive and Marc Newson on the interior, bringing a modern, tech-inspired design to the cabin.
The Ferrari Luce is powered by four electric motors, with one motor independently driving each wheel. Combined output is rated at more than 1,050 horsepower, enabling the EV to accelerate from 0 to 62 mph in just 2.5 seconds. Ferrari also claims a 0 to 124 mph sprint in 6.8 seconds and a top speed of 193 mph.
The vehicle is equipped with a 122 kWh battery pack, delivering an estimated driving range of more than 330 miles on a single charge. It also adopts an 800-volt electrical architecture with support for DC fast charging speeds of up to 350 kW, allowing for shorter charging times compared to conventional EV systems.
Inside, it features a cabin co-designed by Jony Ive and his creative firm LoveFrom. The company said the interior combines minimalist styling with premium materials while maintaining the brand’s performance-focused identity.
Unlike some modern electric performance cars that simulate engine noise through speakers, the company chose not to implement synthetic motor sounds in the Luce. Instead, the company developed a system that amplifies real electric motor vibrations, comparing the effect to the resonance produced by a guitar amplifier.
According to Bull Theory on X, Ferrari is charging a massive $528,000 premium essentially just for its logo. Here is the direct comparison:
- Ferrari Luce price: $640,000 (€550,000 base) or around ₱39 million in Philipine peso, 1,035 hp, 0–62 mph in 2.5 seconds, quad motors
- Tesla Model S Plaid price: $112,000, 1,020 hp, 0–60 mph in under 2 seconds, 368 miles range, Full Self-Driving
This makes the Tesla 82% cheaper, faster, longer-range, and packed with more tech.
The Luce represents Ferrari’s biggest move yet toward electrification while attempting to preserve the emotional driving experience the brand is known for. First customer deliveries are scheduled to begin in October 2026.
