The upcoming HONOR Magic 9 has surfaced in a new leak from well-known tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, revealing what could be one of the company’s biggest hardware upgrades yet.
According to the leak, the Honor Magic 9 is currently being tested with a compact 6.36-inch OLED LTPS display featuring a 1.5K resolution. The phone is also tipped to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, the same flagship platform used in the Honor Magic 8 series.
One of the biggest reported changes is the battery. The Magic 9 could pack an massive battery close to 8,000mAh while still supporting wireless charging. If accurate, that would be a notable jump over the Honor Magic 8, which launched in China in October 2025 with a 7,000mAh silicon-carbon battery.
The camera setup is also expected to receive major upgrades. The leak mentions a 200-megapixel main camera paired with a 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor and a 64-megapixel OV64D periscope telephoto camera. The previous Honor Magic 8 series already focused heavily on imaging, especially the Pro model with its 200MP telephoto camera.
Other leaked features include an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner and IP68/IP69 dust and water resistance ratings.
Honor has not officially confirmed the Magic 9 series yet, but the company launched the Magic 8 lineup in China on October 15, 2025, with prices starting at CNY 4,499 for the standard model.
