Honor has officially teased the upcoming Magic 9 series through its official Weibo account, revealing several key details about the Honor Magic 9 Pro Max ahead of its launch.
The latest teaser confirms several previously reported details, including the phone’s unusual square front-facing camera. Honor has also revealed its display, processor, battery capacity, rear cameras, biometric features, design, colors, and storage configurations.
Honor Magic 9 Pro Max specifications
The Honor Magic 9 Pro Max will feature a 6.8-inch Black Diamond display, which Honor says offers higher brightness and deeper blacks than the standard Magic 9. The display will also have extremely slim 0.98mm bezels.
Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chipset and will pack a large 8,800mAh battery.
For photography, the Magic 9 Pro Max will feature dual 200MP ARRI cameras on the rear. The front camera will reportedly use a 55MP 1:1 square sensor, which is one of the phone’s more distinctive design features.
Honor also confirms support for 3D facial recognition and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The phone will use a unibody metal design and will be available in Moss Green, Silver, and Shadow Black.

The teased configurations include:
- 12GB RAM + 256GB storage
- 12GB RAM + 512GB storage
- 16GB RAM + 512GB storage
- 16GB RAM + 1TB storage
Honor Magic 9 Pro Max launch date
According to Honor’s official Weibo page, the Honor Magic 9 series will launch on September 28, 2026, in Beijing, China.
Honor has not yet announced whether the Magic 9 Pro Max will receive a global launch or when it could become available in other markets.
