    Nothing OS 2.6 is Now on Phone (1): A Smoother, More Focused Gaming Experience

    Nothing has just released Nothing OS 2.6, bringing a host of new features and improvements to the Phone (1). This update was initially released on the Nothing Phone 2 and is finally here for its predecessor. This update focuses on enhancing the gaming experience, making it smoother and more immersive than ever before.

    Here’s a breakdown of what’s new

    Visual Enhancements

    • Fresh Look: Four new wallpapers have been added, giving your Phone (1) a fresh and personalized feel.
    • Wallpaper Control: The Wallpaper Studio now allows you to delete your wallpaper history, giving you more control over your visual preferences.

    Game Mode Unleashed

    Nothing OS 2.6 brings a significant upgrade to Game Mode, making it more intuitive and user-friendly:

    • Instant Access: Tap the left Game Sidebar during gameplay for quick access to the Game Dashboard.
    • Minimized Distractions: Incoming calls during games are now displayed in a pop-up view, allowing you to stay focused on your game.
    • Enhanced Control: You can now reject third-party app calls during gameplay, ensuring uninterrupted gaming sessions.
    • Seamless Call Management: A one-tap callback feature is now available after rejecting a regular call, making it easier to reconnect.
    • Optimized Display: Notifications are now displayed in a minimized format during gameplay in landscape mode, providing more information without obstructing your view.
    • Focus Mode: Block all notifications during gameplay to eliminate distractions and completely immerse yourself in the game.

    Bug Fixes and Stability Improvements

    • Network Stability: The quick recovery mechanism for blocked data network connections has been optimized, leading to improved network stability.
    • Call Functionality: An issue causing some carriers to allow incoming calls but not outgoing calls has been fixed.
    • Lock Screen Display: An issue causing overlapping of the Lock Screen display in certain scenarios has been resolved.
    • Cloned Apps: An issue where some apps could not use the Cloned Apps feature properly has been fixed.
    • General Bug Fixes: Other general bug fixes have been implemented to improve overall system stability and performance.
