Oppo has officially launched the Oppo Bubble in China, a clever new magnetic accessory designed to pair seamlessly with the newly unveiled Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro smartphones, along with several other compatible models.

The Oppo Bubble is a compact, circular mini display built with AMOLED technology, designed to attach magnetically to the back of supported Oppo devices. Its main purpose is simple but highly practical: it acts as a live viewfinder, letting users see exactly what the camera sees when taking selfies from the rear cameras which usually offer much better quality than front-facing lenses and enables easy remote shooting.

Key Features & Design

Weighing just 27.5 grams and measuring only 7mm thick, the accessory is ultra-light and slim, making it easy to carry or keep attached without adding bulk. The circular AMOLED screen is fully touch-enabled and bright enough to use outdoors.

Oppo Bubble features: wearable style, selfie preview, 10m remote shooting, creative camera use
Features

Beyond acting as a camera preview screen, it is highly customizable. Users can set custom wallpapers, display emojis, or even show photos and short videos directly on its display. It works wirelessly up to 10 meters away, so you can place your phone on a tripod or surface and frame your shot perfectly before triggering the shutter remotely, no cables or complicated pairing required.

Powered by a built-in 550mAh battery, it offers long standby and usage time, and can also be used separately as a hanging decorative display or smart badge-style accessory.

Compatibility

While launched alongside the Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro, the Oppo Bubble is also backward-compatible with several older flagship and mid-range models, including:

  • Oppo Reno 15 series
  • Oppo Reno 14 series
  • Oppo Find X9 series
  • Oppo Find X8 series

This makes it a useful add-on not just for new buyers, but also for existing Oppo users looking to upgrade their photography experience.

Pricing & Availability

The Oppo Bubble is priced at CNY 499, approximately ₱4,500, ₹5,850 or $75. It is currently available for purchase in China alongside the Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro launch. There is no word yet on when it will arrive in markets like India, the Philippines, or globally, but given its popularity in China, an international rollout is likely.

Thoughts on the Oppo Bubble?

This is a smart accessory that bridges the gap between convenience and quality, solving the age-old problem of taking great selfies with high-resolution rear cameras. It fits perfectly with the premium camera focus seen in the Oppo Reno 16 and Oppo Reno 16 Pro, both of which feature powerful multi-lens systems including 50MP ultra-wide and periscope telephoto sensors.
