Xiaomi has unveiled the Redmi A4 5G at the Indian Mobile Congress, marking the arrival of the first Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 powered smartphone in the country. This new budget offering aims to bring 5G connectivity to a wider audience in India, with Xiaomi emphasizing its commitment to making “5G for every Indian” a reality.

The Redmi A4 5G is expected to be priced under Rs 10,000 (around PHP6.8K), making it a highly competitive option in the budget segment. While Xiaomi has not revealed all the details, leaks and rumors have shed light on some of its key features.
The Redmi A4 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4s Gen 2 chipset, manufactured on Samsung’s 4nm process node. The configuration of the new chip is 2x Cortex-A78 clocked at 2.0Ghz and 6x Cortex-A55 at 1.8GHz.
The phone is rumored to sport a spacious 6.7-inch LCD panel with HD+ resolution supporting up to 90Hz refresh rate. For the battery, the phone is expected to pack a standard 5,000mAh battery with 18W wired charging support.
For the camera, The Redmi A4 5G is expected to feature an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. On the rear, it is rumored to have a 50MP primary camera and a secondary sensor, a significant upgrade from its predecessor.
