Redmi K100 Pro Glowing Firefly Variant Unveiled

Redmi has officially revealed the new “Glowing Firefly” color variant for the Redmi K100 Pro. The announcement was made via the brand’s official Weibo account, alongside confirmation of the device’s full launch event and pre-order availability in China. The smartphone is scheduled to launch on August 11, 2026, at 7:00 PM. Pre-orders are now open through official online stores in the region.

According to Redmi, the new finish uses a special glow-in-the-dark material placed between the rear glass panel and green ink layer. The brand describes the rear panel as a “light painting canvas” that allows users to create glowing patterns. In daylight, the variant shows a translucent green finish. After exposure to light, the rear panel activates a glow effect that presents a different appearance in low-light or nighttime conditions.

In its official Weibo post, Redmi stated:

“Looks great during the day, and fun at night! The K100 Pro’s new “Firefly Chasing Light” color lets you use light as a brush to create your own unique design.”

Redmi says the K100 Pro runs on a dual flagship core processor setup. The brand lists strong overall performance, a 4K-optimized gaming display, solid battery life and capable cameras as key features, all packed into a 6.59-inch body. More hardware details have also surfaced in recent public listings, including a Geekbench benchmark entry and official 3C certification records.
