Redmi K90 Ultra Launched in China; Price Starts at CNY 2,999

The Redmi K90 Ultra was officially launched in China with a starting price of CNY 2,999, approximately ₱27,299 in Philippine Pesos. It is offered in four storage variants and comes in Shadow Black, Space Silver, and Sky Blue colorways.

Here are the prices for each storage option, converted to other currencies:

• 12GB + 256GB: CNY 2,999 (~₱27,299, ~Rs 42,800, ~$440)
• 16GB + 256GB: CNY 3,199 (~₱29,000, ~Rs 45,650, ~$470)
• 12GB + 512GB: CNY 3,499 (~₱31,799, ~Rs 49,950, ~$515)
• 16GB + 512GB: CNY 3,699 (~₱33,599, ~Rs 52,800, ~$545)

The phone is currently available only in China, and there is no official word yet on whether it will be released or rebranded for the global market.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with Active Cooling Fan

On paper, the phone features the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset paired with a built-in active cooling fan. It is one of the few true gaming phones on the market available at a mid-range price. Interestingly, it shares the same starting price as the Redmi K90 Max, which is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 instead.

According to previous reports, the device can run MOBA games in maximum graphics with no throttling and no frame drops during 180 minutes of gaming. In addition, the device instantly lowers temperature by 10°C in just 100 seconds to maintain stable performance and prevent overheating during long gaming sessions.

Powering the device is a massive 8,550mAh battery, supported by 100W fast charging and 22.5W reverse charging. It features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a refresh rate of up to 165Hz. Other highlights include Android 16 running Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3, Wi‑Fi 7 support, and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
