Redmi has officially launched the Note 17 Pro in China with a starting price of CNY 1,599, which converts to approximately ₱14,500. It is offered in four storage variants and comes in Black, White, Sky Blue, and Nebula Purple color options.
Here are the official prices for each Redmi Note 17 Pro storage variant, with approximate conversions to Philippine Peso:
- 8GB + 128GB: CNY 1,599 (~₱14,500)
- 8GB + 256GB: CNY 1,699 (~₱15,400)
- 12GB + 256GB: CNY 1,999 (~₱18,100)
- 12GB + 512GB: CNY 2,099 (~₱19,000)
The device is now available for purchase in China alongside the standard Redmi Note 17 via the official Xiaomi Mall online store. Availability in other regions, particularly the Philippines, has not yet been announced.
Features and Comparison to Its Predecessor
On paper, the Redmi Note 17 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 6s Gen 4 processor, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro came with the Mediatek Dimensity 7400 Ultra chipset. The most notable upgrade is battery capacity increased from 7,000mAh to 9000mAh, plus fast charging speed stepped up from 45W to 67W, while 22.5W reverse charging remains supported.
Both models share the same 6.83-inch display size and 1.5K resolution. However, the Note 17 Pro uses a flexible AMOLED panel, whereas the predecessor used a standard flat AMOLED panel. Peak brightness also rises from 3200 nits to 3500 nits, and both retain 3840Hz PWM dimming. For cameras, the Note 17 Pro switches to a 50MP main sensor with OIS paired with a 2MP depth lens, while the Redmi Note 15 Pro 5G came with a 200MP main camera and an ultra-wide unit.
Other similar features are include Wi-Fi 6 connectivity, stereo speakers, both models carry the same full IP66/IP68/IP69/IP69K rating and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Practical features such as the in-display fingerprint sensor, NFC and IR blaster are also carried over.
