Qualcomm has officially unveiled the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, its next-generation flagship smartphone chipset built on TSMC’s 2nm process. The new platform brings faster Oryon CPU cores reaching up to 5.0GHz, a more powerful Adreno GPU, upgraded AI processing, and improved camera capabilities for upcoming Android flagship phones.
Qualcomm is also introducing a higher-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Extreme variant, which adds several additional performance and imaging features over the standard chip.

5GHz Oryon CPU Brings Faster Performance
The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 uses Qualcomm’s custom Oryon CPU architecture with two prime cores clocked at up to 5.0GHz and six performance cores reaching up to 4.0GHz. The processor is paired with 16MB of shared Flex Cache.
Qualcomm says the new CPU delivers up to 13% higher performance than the previous generation while improving CPU power efficiency by up to 37%.
