Was Wordle #1925 Hard Today?

Today’s puzzle uses a less common word that might not come to mind right away. Players who test common vowels early should narrow it down quickly.

I first tried my favorite opening word like STARE and found E was in the word but not in the right place. Next, I used BEEFY and confirmed it has repeated letters. The third letter E and the last letter Y were in the correct positions, but the second letter E was not. So on my third attempt, I tried the word BLEED to explore more letters and found L was in the correct position. I could not think of anything else, so I tried a common word like GLARE and found G was in the word but not in the right position. Then I worked out the complete five letters G, L, E, E, Y and found today’s correct answer.
