Xiaomi is reportedly preparing to launch the Xiaomi 17 Max, a new flagship smartphone that has now appeared in China’s 3C certification database with support for 100W fast charging. Details shared by tipster Digital Chat Station on Weibo, alongside certification information circulated by Sina Tech, suggest the device could debut in late May with high-end imaging hardware, a large 8,000mAh battery, and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon platform.

The 3C certification reportedly confirms that the Xiaomi 17 Max will ship with Xiaomi’s MDY-18-EW power adapter (Xiaomi 17 original charger), capable of delivering up to 100W wired flash charging. The device is also rumored to support 50W wireless charging.
According to the leaks, the Xiaomi 17 Max is expected to feature a 6.9-inch flat Real RGB OLED display with ultra-thin bezels and 1.5K resolution. The panel is said to use a quad-narrow-border design, continuing the industry trend toward symmetrical bezels and flatter screens on flagship devices.

Powering the smartphone is expected to be Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The device is also rumored to include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage.
Leica Camera System and 200MP Main Sensor
Imaging appears to be a major focus for the Xiaomi 17 Max. Leaked specifications point to a triple-camera setup co-engineered with Leica, including:
- 200-megapixel primary camera
- 50-megapixel ultra-wide sensor
- 50-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and macro support
The main camera is rumored to use a large HPE-series sensor, although Xiaomi has not confirmed the exact hardware. The company is also reportedly refining the focal length setup to make the camera system more practical for everyday shooting scenarios.
Large Battery and Premium Hardware
One of the standout rumored specifications is the phone’s massive 8,000mAh battery, which would place it among the largest batteries used in a mainstream flagship smartphone.
Additional leaked features include:
- Master-level symmetrical dual speakers
- 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor
- Full-level water resistance
- Minimalist industrial design
- Flat display construction
If accurate, the combination of a large-capacity battery and flagship chipset could make the Xiaomi 17 Max a strong option for power users, gamers, and mobile photography enthusiasts.
