Xiaomi has begun rolling out the HyperOS 4 beta program in China. The update focuses on system performance, usability and ecosystem level artificial intelligence features.
HyperOS 4 introduces several technical changes under the Xiaomi HyperCore system. These include new load calculation technology and memory preloading technology. The update also brings a new HyperOS application runtime environment. Optimizations target the desktop interface and frequently used applications, with the stated goal of improving resource management and animation smoothness.
The company has also introduced Super XiaoAi 2.0 with this release. The feature integrates the Xiaomi MiMo large language model and offers improved task planning and content generation. It is optimized for cross application and cross device usage scenarios.
In addition to general system changes, HyperOS 4 includes dedicated interface optimization for foldable devices. Xiaomi also used the announcement to tease its first wide foldable phone. Images shared alongside the news show a device with what appears to be a wider inner display compared to previous foldable models.
Rollout Schedule and Eligible Devices
The HyperOS 4 beta will be released in three separate batches. All updates will be rolled out gradually starting on their respective dates.
