Apple’s iPhone 18 Pro series is expected to launch in September 2026, according to new leaks shared by AppleLeaker on X, offering an early look at what could be one of the company’s biggest hardware shifts in years.

The leak claims Apple will introduce the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max powered by the A20 Pro chipset, reportedly built on a 2-nanometer manufacturing process. If accurate, the move would mark Apple’s first smartphone chip produced at that scale, promising gains in performance and power efficiency.

Camera upgrades are also said to be a major focus. The iPhone 18 Pro models are rumored to feature a variable-aperture main camera, allowing the lens to adjust based on lighting conditions. Apple is also expected to revise its Camera Control button, removing pressure sensitivity while keeping tactile functionality.

On the front, Apple is tipped to adopt an under-display cutout for Face ID technology for the first time, following an earlier leak from Digital Chat Station on Weibo. This change would allow for a smaller Dynamic Island, reducing the visible cutout while retaining core biometric features.

Connectivity may see a notable shift as well. The leak suggests Apple will debut its in-house C2 modem, signaling a full transition away from Qualcomm modems. The iPhone 18 Pro lineup is also rumored to support 5G connectivity via satellite, expanding on Apple’s existing satellite communication features.

Despite the hardware changes, pricing is expected to remain unchanged. AppleLeaker claims the iPhone 18 Pro could start at $1,099, while the Pro Max may remain priced at $1,199.

As with all early leaks, details may change ahead of Apple’s official announcement.
