The Vivo X Fold 6 Just Leaked on Geekbench, and the Global Version Has a Nice Surprise

While browsing the latest benchmark listings on Geekbench earlier this morning, I spotted a fresh entry for an upcoming vivo device carrying the model number V2559, which is widely expected to be the global version of the vivo X Fold 6. The listing was uploaded on September 10, 2026 at 8:14 AM and reveals some interesting details about what we can expect from vivo’s next global foldable.

In my view, this listing confirms that vivo is finally bringing its flagship foldable to a wider global audience. The fact that it is running Android 17 out of the box is particularly noteworthy, since the Chinese version that launched earlier this year shipped with Android 16 onboard. It is good to see the global variant launching with the latest operating system already in place.

What else did I uncover in the listing?

Aside from the software version, the Geekbench entry shows that the global X Fold 6 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500, with the chip identifier MT6999. For context, the vivo X Fold6 was first launched in China back in June with a starting price of CNY 7,999, which converts to roughly ₱70,000. If vivo keeps the pricing competitive for the global launch, this could be one of the more compelling premium foldables available in the Philippine market.

While other brands are still debating whether foldables should prioritize thinness or battery life, I believe vivo is taking the right approach by pairing the Dimensity 9500 with Android 17 for the global release. For users here in the Philippines who rely heavily on their phones for work, social media, and mobile gaming, having the latest chip and software means the X Fold 6 should stay fast and secure for years to come.

The big question now is whether vivo will price the global version close to its Chinese launch price. If it lands near ₱70,000, this could be the foldable that finally convinces many Filipino users to make the switch.
