Huawei Mate XT 2 Features

The Mate XT 2 continues Huawei’s tri-fold form factor, weighing 299g and measuring 12.3mm thick when folded. It is available in Ink Black, Dawn White, and Xuan Black, which was teased earlier before its official launch. The device carries both IP58 and IP59 ratings for enhanced dust and water resistance.

The outer panel is protected by Kunlun Glass and supports a 120Hz LTPO refresh rate. The massive 10.2-inch inner display uses UTG glass and runs at up to 90Hz. Both screens benefit from 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming for eye comfort.

Powering the device is Huawei’s in-house Kirin 9050 Pro processor, paired with 16GB of RAM. Storage options start at 256GB and go up to 1TB. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, UWB, and satellite calling and messaging support.

The quad-camera setup is led by a 50MP main sensor with OIS and a variable f/1.49–f/4.0 aperture. It is joined by a 40MP ultra-wide lens, a 50MP 3.5x periscope telephoto with OIS, and a third-generation Red Maple primary colour camera for improved colour accuracy. Video capabilities include 4K recording and 960fps slow-motion at 1080p.

A 5600mAh battery sits within the tri-fold body. It supports 66W wired charging and 50W wireless charging for flexible top-ups.

The phone launches with HarmonyOS 7.0, Huawei’s custom operating system, bringing foldable-optimized multitasking and native app continuity across the three folding states.

The Huawei Mate XT 2 advances the tri-fold category with its larger inner display, upgraded Kirin 9050 Pro performance, and versatile quad-camera system. The combination of IP58 plus IP59 protection, strong battery life, and Huawei’s satellite features makes it one of the most feature-rich foldables announced this year. Global availability remains the key question for international buyers.
