New details about the Huawei nova 16 series have been revealed by well-known industry tipster Digital Chat Station, in posts published on Chinese social media platform Weibo.
According to the report, the nova 16 line will not match the performance of Huawei’s higher-end Pura series. Most versions in the lineup will use the Kirin 9010s chip. The largest battery size will be around 7000mAh. Camera setup includes a 200MP main camera with a 1/1.28-inch large sensor, plus a 50MP periscope lens. Both front and rear camera modules have red and black accent rings.
The entry-level nova 16z will run on the Kirin 8 processor, and will carry a lower price point.
Digital Chat Station also shared official design images via Huawei Terminal on Weibo. The post shows the full lineup: nova 16z, nova 16, nova 16 Pro, and nova 16 Ultra.
Huawei itself confirmed the launch date via its Weibo account. The new product event is set for June 1 at 2:30 PM (China time). At the event, the company will launch the nova 16 series, a new flagship tablet, and other new devices.
