iQOO appears to be preparing to launch its next flagship smartphone, as the iQOO 16 has been spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench, revealing powerful specifications ahead of its expected debut.

The device, carrying model number V2606A, made an appearance on Geekbench with impressive performance numbers. The listing confirms the iQOO 16 will be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming flagship chipset, the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro.

The Geekbench results show strong performance from the new silicon:

    • Single-core score: 3,434
    • Multi-core score: 9,334

These early benchmark scores place the iQOO 16 in a strong performance range, though the device remains in testing phase and results may improve as final software and thermal optimizations are applied. The Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro architecture points to competitive performance potential, with official figures expected to be confirmed closer to launch.

The Geekbench database reveals the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro (model SM8975) features an octa-core CPU configuration with a powerful setup:

    • 2 high-performance cores clocked at 5.01GHz
    • 3 mid-tier cores clocked at 4.03GHz
    • 3 efficiency cores clocked at 3.74GHz

Graphics processing is handled by the Adreno 850 GPU, which is expected to deliver flagship-level gaming performance and improved power efficiency. The test unit was configured with 16GB of RAM and ran Android 17, confirming that iQOO’s latest flagship will launch with Google’s newest operating system out of the box.

According to a report by Gizmochina, the iQOO 16 is tipped to launch in September alongside a new iQOO mini tablet. However, the brand has not yet commented on the phone’s specifications or its exact launch date.
