MediaTek has announced the Dimensity 8350 alongside the release of the Oppo Reno 13 series in China. Details are now listed on the MediaTek official website, indicating the full specifications of this new midrange chipset.
MediaTek Dimensity 8350 Features
The MediaTek Dimensity 8350 is an incremental upgrade over its predecessor, the Dimensity 8300, primarily focusing on enhancing gaming performance. While both chipsets share many similarities, the 8350 introduces a few key improvements.
The most significant upgrade in the Dimensity 8350 is the introduction of the StarSpeed Engine, replacing the previous HyperEngine technology for gaming. This new engine promises a 10% reduction in power consumption during gameplay and a 24% increase in scene transition speed. However, it’s important to note that MediaTek doesn’t specify whether these improvements are relative to the 8300 or a different benchmark.
While the StarSpeed Engine is the primary upgrade, the Dimensity 8350 also boasts a few other minor enhancements:
- Improved CPU: The 8350 features the same octa-core CPU configuration as the 8300, but with a slightly higher clock speed for the Cortex-A715 cores.
- Faster Memory Support: The 8350 supports faster LPDDR5x RAM with a frequency of up to 8533 Mbps.
Antutu and Geekbench scores have also been shared and leaked from Weibo, including overall scores for CPU, GPU, memory, and UX. The Geekbench score also includes single and multi-core scores.
Antutu Score:
- Overall Score: 1,380,532
- CPU Score: 309,531
- GPU Score: 550,271
- Memory Score: 245,645
- UX Score: 275,085
Geekbench Score:
- Single-Core Score: 1,538
- Multi-Core Score: 4,697
