MediaTek has officially partnered with NTE Global to bring its Dimensity Frame Rate Converter (MFRC) technology to mobile gaming. Originally developed for high-end smart TVs, this tech is now being used to make mobile gameplay smoother and more power-efficient on MediaTek Dimensity platforms.

The collaboration focuses on keeping performance stable even when a game gets graphically intense. By using frame interpolation, MFRC helps maintain high frame rates while putting much less strain on the device’s hardware.

According to MediaTek, enabling MFRC in high-demand scenarios can cut power usage by up to 40%. This is a significant benefit for mobile gamers because it helps prevent thermal throttling. This means your phone is less likely to overheat and slow down during long gaming sessions.

The first major title to showcase this partnership is Neverness to Everness (NTE). Developed on Unreal Engine 5, it’s a supernatural urban open-world RPG that mixes anime-style characters with a modern city full of supernatural anomalies.

I visited the official website and social media accounts to see the progress for myself. Pre-registration is currently live, and I’ve already signed up for the mobile version. The game is confirmed for Windows PC, Android, iOS, and PlayStation.

While many are looking forward to a full launch, the next big step is the Co-Ex Test (a limited-access closed beta) which begins on February 6, 2026. Reports show that the game has already reached a massive milestone, surpassing 20 million pre-registrations worldwide.

The hype is also visible on social media, where official promotional content has already racked up over 16 million views on YouTube. MediaTek and NTE Global have stated they will continue to work together on further optimizations as the game moves toward its final release.
