Capcom has officially released PRAGMATA, its latest sci-fi action-adventure title, for the Nintendo Switch 2. Originally scheduled for April 24, the game arrived earlier than expected in several regions, launching on April 17, 2026.

Set on a lunar research station known as “The Cradle,” PRAGMATA follows Hugh Williams, a response team member sent to investigate a sudden loss of communication. After a devastating moonquake leaves him injured and separated from his squad, Hugh is rescued by Diana, an advanced android known as a Pragmata. Together, the pair must navigate the damaged facility and uncover what went wrong.
Gameplay centers on cooperation between the two characters. During combat, Diana hacks enemy systems to expose vulnerabilities, while Hugh uses a range of firearms to finish them off. Encounters require players to balance both mechanics, as enemies must first be disabled through a hacking minigame before they can be effectively attacked. Strategic planning during hacking can also trigger additional effects that provide an advantage in battle.
A free demo, titled PRAGMATA Sketchbook, is now available, offering an early look at the game’s hybrid combat system and exploration mechanics. The demo includes English and Japanese voice options, though some features may differ from the full release.
PRAGMATA is priced at $59.99 (around PHP 3,500) and requires 13.2GB of storage. Players who purchase the digital version before May 14, 2026, at 8:59 PM PDT will receive early bird bonuses, including the Neo Bushido outfit for Hugh and Neo Kunoichi outfit for Diana. These costumes draw inspiration from Japan’s Sengoku period.
A Deluxe Edition is also available, bundling the Shelter Variety Pack. This add-on includes additional outfits, background music, character gestures for Diana, a weapon skin, and a digital artwork collection viewable in-game. The pack can also be purchased separately.
Due to the revised release schedule, digital pre-orders in North America were cancelled and must be placed again via the Nintendo eShop. Meanwhile, the release date for Japan and other Asian markets remains set for April 24, 2026.
Alongside the game’s launch, the Diana amiibo figure has also been moved up to April 17 in North America and Australia. In related news, Nintendo is promoting its latest Switch Online campaign, introducing an icon maker update featuring rewards themed around Super Mario Galaxy.
